Children benefited from the first investment project in education under the program “Works for taxes” of the national government, under which private companies are invited to pay up to 50% of their income tax and other charges, through the execution and delivery of investment projects to improve the quality of life of the municipalities most affected by the armed conflict in Colombia.
For the municipality of Tame, Arauca, Parex prioritized six educational centres located in the rural area by allocating materials and equipment. This donation included furniture to kindergarten, elementary and secondary schools (preschool classrooms, 10 elementary classrooms, 12 secondary classrooms), multi-media classrooms (technology, computer and multimedia), 310 computers, 48 video-beams and 15 pre-school didactic kits, among other things.
